Serving seniors in the Rural Municipality of Wallace-Woodworth with compassion and dedication.
Woodworth Senior Services was born from the heart of a rural community that recognized a growing need. In the vast, open landscapes of southwestern Manitoba, seniors living in the Rural Municipality of Woodworth faced unique challenges — long distances to medical facilities, limited public transportation, and the risk of social isolation that comes with rural living.
A group of dedicated community members came together with a simple but powerful vision: no senior in Woodworth should feel forgotten, unsupported, or alone. What began as neighbours helping neighbours has grown into an established nonprofit organization that serves as a lifeline for hundreds of seniors across the region.
Today, from our office at 220 Cornwall St in Kenton, our Resource Coordinator and team of devoted volunteers work tirelessly to ensure seniors can age in place with dignity, maintain their independence, and stay meaningfully connected to their community.
Guided by compassion and community spirit, we work to ensure every senior lives their best life.
To enhance the quality of life for seniors and eligible adults aged 55 and over in the Rural Municipality of Wallace-Woodworth by providing essential support services, promoting independence, and fostering meaningful social connections.
A community where every senior lives with dignity, maintains their independence, and remains actively engaged in the social fabric of their neighbourhood — regardless of age, mobility, or circumstance.
Woodworth Senior Services is powered by the incredible dedication of our staff and volunteers, who give their time and energy to serve our seniors.
Our Resource Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for seniors seeking assistance. Available during office hours (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM), they help connect seniors with the services and support they need — from arranging transportation to coordinating foot care appointments.
Our volunteer Board of Directors guides the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our community's senior population.
The backbone of our organization — our volunteers provide transportation, make friendly visits, assist at social events, and bring warmth and companionship to the seniors we serve.
